REUP lol I sampled the opening song from Jodeci's sophomore album "Diary Of A Mad Band" called "My Heart Belongs To You". Hope you like, just did it for fun, but moreso because I grew up on Jodeci and I always listened to the whole album front start to finish. This song set the whole mood for the rest of the songs on the album. 

Sugar Bytes - Setting up Effectrix

I thought this was excellent, this was what I was looking for today :-) best effectrix video out on youtube, all other tutorials suck! hehe, Izotope Stutter is good, and I use Stutter aswell as Sugabytes Artillery 2, but I always wanted to use Effectrix properly, and this guy Dan-Drama is the shizz for this video! Props Dan, you the man!! ;-)

E.man ft. Pretty Major & Ski Hi - 'HEARTBEAT'

This track I produced for my homie Emani "E.Man" Suaesi, I also feature in the song (I do the second verse) and also features one of my newest (new to me) favourite rappers from West Auckland named Sky Hi who performs the third verse. Although you cant tell from the video clip's effects, but it was raining HARD that day and I had mild pneumonia although I didn't want to show it lol thats dedication for the love of music. Mild pneumonia and stay home? Or get the clip done for my brothers? Well. I guess you know which option I went with lol but it was a fantastic time and I got to catch up with usos I hadn't seen in a while. The little beat in the beginning intro is actually a beat of it's own, and I sampled an awesome female New Zealand artist by the name of Anika Moa

(Disclaimer: (incase Anika reads this post haha) - I have not made any money or profits by sampling you, I did it just for the love of NZ Hip Hop which after using you in my beat includes you in the Hip Hop genre aswell now lol and as I said I havent made any returns on the beat...well, that is until Sidney Diamond pays me for it ahah! He recorded some rap verses to this beat already. But I'll give you half of what I might get lol chur).

I wasn't expecting to use it as an intro, but I thought the mood of the beat would take you somewhere, juust for a second or two, until I hit you with the actual beat, which totally takes you in a whole different direction immediately once it starts off. The beat is epic in it's own right. Have a listen and enjoy.

Pretty Major - Human (Cover) ReUp

Human League is one of my all time favourite 80s groups and this cover I did was a spurr of the moment thing. I got home from my course around 3pm, made the beat and had it where it is (final version of beat used) around 4pm. I started recording the vocals around 4:30pm and by 5pm I was mixing it down as best I could and got lazy and chucked on a mastering plugin to give it the "finished" sound lol I know it could do with alot better mixing and mastering, but for what it was, considering I started & finished the project in one go and it only took a few hours to complete, for one afternoons music sesh, I think I did ok. ALSO! I was getting sick, and my chest flu had only started off with tingles, so my voice was basically frog lol. So yeah considering all I've mentioned, not a bad cover me thinks lol. Enjoy.

Uptempo radio joint (work in progress)

Another joint I made, but this was made on my Miko awhile back, wanted to share this with you.It's uptempo, a lil electro going on, laid with some heavy brass and some spooky type pads in the background. If you can dance to this in your room without stopping, and dance to the whole beat from start to finish, well you're a fit guy (or gal) arent you? lol :-)

09082012 (work in progress)

First beat I've made in a while, though sitting at 50% done I had to share. Also since my trusty Miko (my music keyboard) has been in shop for upgrades for a few months, I've had to resort to going back to laptop producing. I initially didnt want to use my laptop due to the lack of speed, so I decided not to make any music until my keyboard returned home. But paying the service fees was going to take a while, and it still is, I couldn't handle not doing any music, so I gave into my passion and decided to use my lappy. Much to my surprise it wasnt as slow as I assumed it would be, hence this beat being made. Hey. I'm a musician, so I was feeling desperate to make music, and giving into my pride, I started using my laptop. And yup. It will suffice for now. Two more months, and my Miko is back.
